We rely almost exclusively on the generosity of our donors – your dollars can make a profound difference at every stage of life for Canadians affected with a neuromuscular disorder. For over 60 years, your donations have been funding cutting-edge research, searching for new therapies and providing funding for essential equipment to help Canadians living with neuromuscular disorders live full and more enriched lives. We collaborate with other organizations to bring about positive social change. Ultimately, everything we do is for the benefit of people who need us.
Our vision is to find a cure for neuromuscular disorders in our lifetime. Our mission is to enhance the lives of those affected by neuromuscular disorders by continually working to provide ongoing support and resources while relentlessly searching for a cure though well-funded research.
It’s a quick and easy process to donate. You can make a secure online donation anytime. You can also call 1-800-567-2873 during business hours to talk with someone live and make a donation over the phone, or you can mail a cheque to:

The cost of fundraising varies between non-profit organizations. Muscular Dystrophy Canada relies on donations, fundraising activities, special events and sponsorship to fund its mission activities. Muscular Dystrophy Canada was able to significantly lower our fundraising and administration costs to 28%. This means more donor dollars are invested in what matters most – research, advocacy, programs and services.
