Fundraising Events

There are many ways that you can actively raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. The funds that you raise help provide research and much needed services for people with neuromuscular disorders. Muscular Dystrophy Canada events also raise awareness about these disorders and get entire communities involved.

Walk for Muscular Dystrophy is our organization's signature event. Walks are scheduled in more than 30 cities and towns across Canada.

Come and experience what it is like to live with a physical disability by spending a day in a wheelchair.

Fire Fighters have been working with Muscular Dystrophy since 1954 to raise funds and awareness of neuromuscular disorders.

Join us and help the Simcoe Region Chapter - Muscle Movers team, once again paddle their way to the top fundraising team, at this year’s Barrie Dragon Boat Festival!

Fundraising and fun come together as local businesses, schools, and pubs proudly display bright green shamrocks during the four weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day in March. Find out how you can help turn your community green.

Nursery schools, daycares and elementary schools learn about how muscles work and help fundraise to fix muscles that don't work! Find out how your child's school or daycare can participate!

Fred Shaddick set out to make a difference for kids affected by neuromuscular disorders and their families by establishing the “For the Kids” fundraising campaign.

This past year marked the 6th anniversary of the “Nearly the New Year” Gala of Hope and over $74,000 was raised on behalf of Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
