 1.        How can I use my cell phone to create a gift in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada?

Text ‘key word’ to 30333, reply to the confirmation message with a text stating YES and a one-time donation of $5 will be added to your mobile phone bill or deducted from your prepaid balance.

 2.       How much does it cost me to make a text donation?

Each donation you initiate will be charged at $5 and you can donate up to a maximum of $30 per month.  Message and data rates apply.  All charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. 

 3.       Will I start receiving text alerts from Muscular Dystrophy Canada once I make a text donation?

You will NOT receive text alerts from Muscular Dystrophy Canada after making a text donation to this campaign.

 4.       Who can see my mobile number when I make a text donation?

Your mobile number is kept confidential, and it will not be shared with or used by anyone without your permission.

 5.       How do I request a tax receipt for my text donation?

You can request a tax receipt by entering your mobile number at www.mobilegiving.ca

 6.       How much of each text donation actually goes to Muscular Dystrophy Canada?

$4.75 of each $5 donation goes to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

 7.       Why do I need to text back the word YES to complete the transaction?

Texting the word YES will confirm the $5 donation, and will help prevent fraud and errors.

 8.       What if I change my mind about making the donation?

You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to short code 30333.  Reply HELP to 30333 for help.

 9.       This is a great campaign.  I want to tell all my friends.  How can I share the news?

Send a text message to your friends, ‘Hey!  Text ‘key word’ to 30333 and donate $5 to help raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada!’  Or, ask them to visit www.muscle.ca for more information.

Step 2:  To confirm your $5 donation to the Chair Aware Campaign, reply with the word ‘Yes’.  You must reply to the confirmation by texting YES, otherwise the donation will not be completed.

Step 3:  You will receive a confirmation that $5 will be charged to your phone bill.  Text CHAIR up to 6X per month for donations to Chair Aware.
