- Research focuses on the developmental aspects of RNA (ribonucleic acid) toxicity that lead to congenital myotonic dystrophy type 1

- The long-term goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying myotonic dystrophy and the establishment of model systems with which new appropriate therapeutic intervention could be developed and studied.
