G.W. Carlson Elementary
The students of G.W. Carlson Elementary School were hard at work this year, raising funds and awareness for people affected by muscular dystrophy. The elementary school classes held a boot drive in their school and were able to raise $169.42 to support children, teens and adults affected by neuromuscular disorders.
The great strides Muscular Dystrophy Canada has made over the past years have resulted directly from the many community initiatives undertaken by groups such as the students of G.W. Carlson. Thank you for your generous donation and for helping us to “Make Muscles Move!”
Kristy Godin’s Letter Campaign

- "Kristy Godin presents a cheque to Muscular Dystrophy Canada (with sister Leah, and Mom and Dad, Kathy and Mark Godin)"
Since 2006, Kristy Godin has been committed to a letter writing campaign, which has raised over $32,000 in donations for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. All funds are put towards research in the area of Friedreich's Ataxia, a type of neuromuscular disorder that affects the nervous system and heart. Congratulations Kristy, on the success of your fundraising and awareness building campaign!

For the past two years, the brothers have organized this drive on behalf of their three cousins who live with Duchene muscular dystrophy.
